Tax law is a focused branch of the legal system, but it covers a range of different legal issues. One of the most common aspects that the tax laws address is the fact that there is a tax applied for the financial income that is earned. If there is no compliance with the tax laws regarding income earned, as written in the federal legislation, you are thereby punishable by way of the tax laws. The tax laws state that you are to also pay a tax on any of the capital gains that are made as well. This component of the tax law means that if any of your assets gain a profit, then you are to pay a tax on the income earned. Also included in this portion of the tax law is any income that is earned as a result of investments, such as stocks and bonds.
