Obama shark jump watch: deconstructing the pretend Presidential seal

What else can be said about BHO's mock up of the Presidential seal at a conference with Democratic Governors? Since he is one of two major contenders for President one wants to look out across the landscape and find reasons to believe he is NOT a megalomaniac sociopath - and yet his campaign keeps telegraphing that he is - and they are on board. Like the "mission accomplished" banner behind Bush low those many years ago the image of Obama behind a pretend Presidential seal is so obnoxious it bends the mind. The man does not even have his party's nomination yet - that is still over 2 months off. One has to wonder what the state chief executives in the audience thought of this paper mache "seal". Even the most ardent Pro Obama Governors had to have a had a moment of "jeez, at least I've done something in my career." Obama is a prime example of the something for nothing society that we live in. Give me the job now. Emphasis on the word give.

So what were they thinking?

This "seal" was discussed in an Obama campaign meeting. Designing a seal as a rip off the Presidential Seal was approved. Further is was decided that it would be used at a meeting of actual chief executives - this is the job title Obama wants, but has never had.

One can easily conclude that the seal is meant to give the Governors a shove backward. What the fake seal says is: "Look, I know most of you in the room have accomplished more and are more qualified than me for the job I want. But I am the leader here, so don't push it."

As Patsy Stone, the glamorous drunk on BBC's Absolutely Fabulous, said whenever confronted: "Don't Question Me!" Or better, South Park's Cartman: "Respect my Autthori-tah!" - deliciously barked by an 8 year old who has no authority.

If the stakes weren't so high the whole Obama event would be interpreted as a joke. Or a silly play the neighborhood kids were putting on in a barn.

Since Obama choked on FISA yesterday my fear of him has lessened a small amount. (Not because I agree with his flip flop, I adamantly do NOT.) This could be foolish of me. Afterall, Obama has no track record and his history is pock marked with radicals and idiots. Nevertheless, what Obama told us by voting for the FISA bill is simple enough: There will be no real change. Those who run the show behind the scenes will continue unabated by me. I want to win, principles be damned. A few of those who feed at the trough will be switched out for others. But the trough will remain in place.

I'll take a new face at the head of the same old system for four more years over the studied psychosis of Black Liberation Theology and dime store socialism any day.

Still, what are we to make of this latest stunt with the Presidential seal? The mental atmospherics that went into Obama's willingness to affix the pretend seal to himself are disturbing. The analogies connecting the happily arrogant W. Bush and the petulant Obama are strengthened every day. But the seal stunt puts Obama in a league of his own. One cannot imagine W in 2000, or his father in 1988 being quite as arrogant and tacky.

Obama brats - listen up. One candidate is working for votes. The other thinks he's entitled to them. Check it out. ...Obama was out golfing during Hillary's concession speech... your man seems to nuture an image as asshole. Don't like McCain that much but he didn't throw the finger to a former first lady...

Either he doesn't need a bunch of Clinton voters or he's got to get his act together.

So what- exactly are the Obama workers in the photo thinking by reverently placing portraits of Che Guevara everywhere in the Houston Office?

I'd really like to avoid name calling - but why bother - calling a moron a moron is not an insult anymore than is calling a genius a genius. These people are morons.

Definition: Moron was originally an English scientific term, coined in 1910 by psychologist Henry H. Goddard from the Greek word moros, which meant "dull' (as opposed to "sharp"), and used to describe a person with a mental age located between 8 and 12.

Seriously, I can't get my mind around a major party (ha!) "mainstream" candidate having so many brain dead followers - many apparently having no problem adorning a field office with a Communist icon.

Do they know who Che was?
Do they know that he was a violent revolutionary?
Or do they think it is just a cool thing to put on a wall - the 2008 version of
LO
VE
in a square?
Are they themselves Communists?

 Given the 2 portraits of Che in this office, it is entirely within reason to ask.
Sure, Obama Pods, go off on me if you like but - Che was a committed Communist. If a portrait of Castro was up in the Obama office no one would question that they were Communist sympathizers. Then again a "Warhol" of Castro has not been marketed as far as I know. And yes, I read The Motorcycle Diaries.


Are they telegraphing that THEY are violent revolutionaries?

If so - when they start the revolution who, I ask you, WHO will teach Poli Sci 101 and How to Be a Perpetual Victim 102, and the Dead White Guys Suck Ass extension courses at community colleges around the country??!!Woe is us!

Do they understand that Communism does not allow for Whole Foods Markets?

Santa Monica hippies and Venice Beach stoners are fine with going to the organic farmers' market to purchase arugula- but Arianna "I'm rich because I married well and married gay" Huffington, David "name another building after me NOW!" Geffen, and John "proud to be the second most self hating gay man in America after Andrew Sullivan" Avarosis and the other latte libs need to send the help, (that they buy 'holiday' gifts for EVERY YEAR, Damnit, and therefore are clearly pro labor) to Whole Foods or Gelson's or Trader Joes for the soy milk, not some pot head street fair that screws up traffic every Thursday afternoon.

Sorry kids, Whole Food, Williams Sonoma and Double Shot Non Fat Lattes are purely capitalist creations.

Do they know that any Cuban American who sees this image will joyfully vote for John McCain?

And plenty of other people who remember the Cold War as well. How can we be expected to trust these folks?

Some of us know who Che was, and may even find him interesting. But we harbor no delusions about Marxism. So either the portraits of Che in an Obama field office are clueless or Marxist.

Which is it?

When Barack Falls Apart

I see no reason to be polite about it. The Obama campaign is divisive and nasty. The assholery from Obama is now officially relentless. The idiotic excuses and "blame Hillary" at all costs from Obamites like Huffington and the tactless, mindless Olbermann have become rancid.

Obama, you talked down to a vast swatch of American workers from your smug mountain top in San Francisco. Admit it. Quit dancing around the truth. Tell your goons to stop repeating "He just told the truth." It is revolting that so many people think what you said was "the truth." You know nothing about working people. You know nothing about religious people. You sucker punched an entire nation with your plagiarized speeches. Your mentor, Rev. Wright is a hate filled hypocrite who spews resentment and calls it Christianity.

I've said it a thousand times before and I say it again: You are a fraud. You said last summer "To know me is to love me." That is your biggest lie to date, Senator Obama.

Sunday you joked "Who does she think she is, Annie Oakley."

Wow. I keep saying "wow" because I can't get my mind around what a first class snot you are turning out to be. Yes, Barry, Senator Clinton is very much like Annie Oakley.

Read this letter from a 33 year old African-American woman.

The tone of your campaign has become overtly nasty. The message of "hope" has been overtaken by the true message of your overreach: Vote for me, because I am better than you.

Does us all a favor and find an excuse to quit the race, and take your Prius driving, Arugula chewing, "I refuse to put my hand over my heart", Weather Underground hugging, 60's rejects with you.

Does anyone know if this nugget is true:
On June 15 2005 obama bought his $1.65 million mansion without a mortgage. CASH. But nowhere does he say how he managed to put together this kind of capital- given his salary and his wife's salary. Any advances from his writings were subject to taxes and would not have made such a lump sum possible. Obama's tax record do not give any answer as they show no large sums of capital or stock holdings that could explain the source of the money.
AND the questions about Obama continue.... BTW his book "the Audacity of Hope" came out in Oct. 2006
