Paid Pundits Pervert Puma Polls
I want to focus on something Cannonfire said today - and I agree with - and stated a while ago. The Puma movement is growing, not shrinking, according to the latest CNN poll. This has little to do with Clinton and everything to do with Obama. The Obama apologist pundits still don't get that basic fact.
More Clinton voters are refusing to vote for Obama now than a month ago. The opposite should be true. A weird allusion to Elisabeth Kubler-Ross's 5 stages of dying was made on CNN - as if ex-Democratic Obama Refuseniks are grappling with a "death."
We are not.
The ongoing dip in Obama's PUMA numbers is not about Hillary. It's about Obama, stupid.
The closer we look at Obama the less palatable he is. Conversely, and speaking for myself only, the closer I look at McCain the less he seems to be the big GOP Monster that ninnies like Taylor March make him out to be. The only thing I know for sure about my vote is who is NOT getting it.
The past month has shown us that Obama is not a healer. (All he had to do was acknowledge and apologize for the blatant and obvious sexism. Imagine the difference that would have made in early June.)
He is less trustworthy now than he was even 2 weeks ago. He doesn't not even agree with himself half the time. Why would anyone trust him more now - after no less than 6 major flip flops: Jerusalem, FISA, campaign finance, Iraq, gun control, abortion rights for the mentally ill.

At any rate, since it is about Obama, not Clinton let's look at the 5 stages of dying:
DENIAL: This is what many Pods have been in for months.
ANGER: No less than 16,000 on Obama's campaign blog are expressing their anger at BHO's FISA flip flop.
BARGAINING: Pods like the Cheetos Blog's Ducky are in the throws of it. "I'll still vote for him but I won't give him any money! So there!"
DEPRESSION: This can be seen in comments everywhere. "Gee, I want to love him again - but I can't!" and the laughable: "I thought he had integrity." etc etc.
ACCEPTANCE: This is the slow, steady realization among the pods that Obama is just another politician - a phrase they are trying to normalize in their own psyches by repeating it in comment posts across the landscape. It's a bitter pill. The one thing they believed he was not was "another politician."
The "death" we are watching - and the pundits refuse to ackowledge - is the end of "Obama the Messiah".
PUMAs are not going through these "stages". Pods are. PUMAs are merely saying the same things they've said all along. Obama, now unfettered, is proving them correct.
