What's Democracy Got to Do With It?
Has anyone else noticed a change in the tone of Obama supporters since he has almost declared himself the winner? (Mission Accomplished Moment Coming May 20th!)
They've gone from calling Hillary and her supporters "fucking whores" to we need to come together for the good of the party. They've beaten us for months with we're not as smart as them, we're not as enlightened, we're white trash, we're racist, we don't "get" black churches and they are pulling an Ike Turner "I didn't mean to hit you baby, you know I love you."
Well, like Tina, we're not forgiving and we're not coming back.
You can stop threatening me with the Supreme Court and Roe. You can stop saying I'm not a true Democrat because now, thanks to Dr. Dean, I am a registered independent. OH MY GOD, wait for it, I'm going to quote Ronald Reagan, "I didn't leave the Democratic Party, the Democratic Party left me."
The things that I believe in, education, taking care of the poor, Social Security, civil rights, equal rights were all reasons I have been a Democrat. The things I want, Universal Healthcare, peace, civil liberties, regulations on industries like banking are things I believe Hillary Clinton can deliver.
Howard Dean has taken Democracy out of the Democratic party. You cannot shut out two states because you're mad at them. The Republicans penalized us (Florida) by taking away half of the delegates. Goes to show they're better at the game. You cannot tell a viable candidate to pull out and not allow voters to be heard and call it democracy but I guess that's how Dean rolls.
We are going to do what we are best at - snatch defeat out of the jaws of victory. My bumper sticker will say: Don't Blame Me, I Voted in Florida.
