I know we're all pretty tapped out, what with buying luxuries like food and gas, but I want to suggest a great giving opportunity.
Books for Soldiers does exactly that. They donate books to soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan. I love to read so I support them since I would be lost without books and I am not fighting in war far from home.
